Give your team a gift they can take anywhere and use anytime - Adult Mental Health First Aid Training.

When you offer Adult Mental Health First Aid training to your employees, you give them resources they can use immediately. They're everyday, actionable skills that go beyond a wellness app, beyond individual benefits support that some may not be comfortable or willing to utilize, and beyond a thoughtful "be sure to take care of yourself" that can often leave you feeling as if it's simply not enough.

Mental Health First Aid is a training — like regular First Aid or CPR — designed to give people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

The evidence behind the program reflects that it helps trainees identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

After your employees attend Adult Mental Health First Aid training, they can put their new knowledge into action to help co-create more thoughtful, aware environments - in your workplace, at home, and out in their communities.

Hi! I'm Jamie (she/her), the person behind TO SAY I AM. Welcome and thank you so much for your interest in Adult Mental Health First Aid.

WHY ADULT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING NOW

The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted mental health in ways many of us have never seen before. Requests for additional mental health support, increased awareness, and crucial culture shifts in the workplace have skyrocketed.

I worked in Human Resources as a Wellness Coordinator prior to the onset of and during the pandemic. Stress and well-being concerns were amplified and continue to affect nearly every aspect of our lives - from home to work, local to global.

Mental Health First Aid training can give your employees the tools to help address stigma, co-create healthier, more inspired environments, and assist co-workers, loved ones, and strangers in need.

When you offer Adult Mental Health First Aid training to your employees, you can:

  • Support your team's overall well-being - not knowing how to support the mental health of others can add stress
  • Give your employees practical knowledge and evidence-based resources that they can use at work, at home, and in their communities
  • Provide your team members with the opportunity to more thoughtfully support themselves and others
  • Inspire more authentic dialogue regarding well-being and mental health in the workplace and beyond

TO SAY I AM provides Adult Mental Health First Aid in a virtual, small group format to help increase accessibility, comfort, and participation opportunities.

When your organization partners with TO SAY I AM for Adult Mental Health First Aid training, participants also receive additional resources to support their individual wellness journeys.

Hey there - it's Jamie again.

Thanks so much for exploring TO SAY I AM and considering virtual small group Adult Mental Health First Aid for your organization. It's appreciated.

I've lost people I care about to suicide and overdose and am 12+ years sober. Witnessing loved ones, acquaintances, and complete strangers suffer, live in pain, and struggle with mental health and substance use, I can't help but wonder if their paths may have been different - if there were less stigma and more people had better tools to support them.

This wondering helped inspire the path I'm on today. Maybe you're wondering, too.

After creating my own profound changes and enjoying life in a way I never knew possible, I wanted to help others do the same. I started writing for social impact and change-supporting brands. That led me to create TO SAY I AM. I spent the last few years working with folks – individually and in groups through employer-sponsored wellness efforts – writing, building resources, and providing training and support. It was a wonderful experience, and I’m drawn to support people in new ways.

I've transitioned my work with individual folks to one-on-one and small groups and developed a change and transformation framework, the Easier Evolution Approach. Because of the profound spotlight and need for expanded mental health support resources, I've focused much of my organization support efforts toward providing virtual small group Adult Mental Health First Aid training to interested teams across the United States.

In the additional tools and resources offered through TO SAY I AM, I align my lived experience with proven, evidence-based transformation techniques, mind-body information, and mindfulness approaches to help folks on their paths to changing and improving their lives... and the world around them.

Let's partner together to bring greater mental health support knowledge to the next phase of your organization's employee wellness evolution.
